MORGAN JOSEPH APPOINTS 12-YEAR VETERAN RACHEL BECK A VICE PRESIDENT IN EXPANDING PRIVATE PLACEMENTS GROUP

NEW YORK, NY, April 27, 2010 – Morgan Joseph & Co. Inc., a leading investment banking firm serving middle market companies, today announced the appointment of Rachel Beck as a Vice President in the private placements group. Ms. Beck has over 12 years experience raising private capital for public and private companies, with transactions valued at approximately $2 billion.

Prior to joining Morgan Joseph, Ms. Beck was a Vice President at Enclave Capital LLC and also at Broadpoint Capital, Inc., where she was responsible for the evaluation and execution of various types of financings including PIPES, Registered Directs and late-stage venture financings. Her deal experience includes companies in the healthcare, technology and energy/alternative energy sectors. Before joining Broadpoint, she was also associated with UBS Warburg and JP Morgan. Ms. Beck holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.
