Our approach is pragmatic, a philosophy consistent with our experience that the overall enterprise value of a company undergoing financial stress can often be enhanced through a strategic or financial restructuring and that a consensual sharing of value is required to achieve a solution. Properly implemented, this process not only enhances overall value but also minimizes business uncertainty and disruption. The Restructuring Group relies on its interdisciplinary abilities to formulate the broadest possible set of solutions - from standalone strategies to difficult financing options and unconventional M&A processes.

In most situations, Morgan Joseph's role begins with due diligence paired with expert advice during an accelerated program to stabilize the company and its finances. The Restructuring Group works with its clients to assess the company's value and optimal capital structure, develop a strategic approach to the business plan and plan of reorganization, weigh and choose a plan of action from among the viable alternatives, and ultimately implement the restructuring or financing transactions. Lastly, we assist our clients to effectively communicate, negotiate and implement the plan as they navigate webs of disparate constituency demands and legal procedures.
